Firstly, a big THANK YOU to our hosts and supporters, Talbot Heath School, for the kind use of their Great Hall.
The music and choir did themselves proud, singing with soul and heart, and ensuring the evening was a great success. Our music director, Martin, states “there is nothing more satisfying than to see and hear the appreciation given to our musical performances, along with the Joy they give to participants and audiences alike. It is a real privilege to direct the Wessex Chorus and be a part of such a generous group of friends and members”.
Thank you also to the events and management staff for preparing the room for the evening and clearing and tidying afterwards.
The evening started with a welcoming drink from our bar and our Mega Raffle. Among our amazing prizes were - a week in an eight bed Normandy luxury cottage and a Southampton Studio photographic session worth over £245. We had so many generous donations, thank you to all that helped and donated for our funds.
We raised a wonderful £1100 for our nominated charity Forest Holme Hospice, with 100% of the ticket money and the amazingly generous retiring collection all combined.
The evening ended with the song Total Praise that raised the roof with applause!
