Christchurch Boat Trip & BBQ
We started our evening at the Tuckton Tea Gardens and made our way to the quay for a trip on a wonderful river barge with two friendly men helping all of us safely on to their boat.
We travelled gently from the quay to the mouth of the Avon, near Mudeford, and returned having seen amazing sights of birds, swans and so many wild ponies strolling about on the marshes. The weather and evening sailing was very pleasant.
After about an hour, we returned for our amazing BBQ which had beautifully cooked meats, lovely salads and cheeses - gluten free bread buns on offer too! It was all delicious.
The night was filled with laughter and then some stayed to watch the fireworks on the water from for the end of the Saturday’s event at the Christchurch Festival.
A big thank you to our organiser and the staff at the Tuckton Tea Gardens for making us feel so welcome and feeding us very well!
